Robert Black was captured in the sickening act while out with his two dogs at a park in Berkshire. The 51-year-old appeared before Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and was convicted of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal. Mr Black of Newbury was jailed for 23 weeks and slapped with a £115 victim surcharge.
Wearing a hat, anorak and jeans, Mr Black can be seen roughly gripping the black and white dog as a second smaller dog lies at his feet.
He pushes the dog downwards on top of the dark-coloured animal before glancing around to see if anyone is watching.
Mr Black then proceeds to launch his attack, ramming his closed fist into the dog’s head a total of five times.
