Kym Marsh, who is best known for her role as Michelle Connor on the ITV soap Coronation Street, revealed she had to make a “nightmare hospital dash” after her chihuahua puppy named Rico had accidentally pawed her eye. The soap star admitted herself to hospital after a “small lump” on her eye did not improve after visiting an optician.

Kym spoke out about the incident but doesn’t blame her pet pooch for scratching her eye.
Speaking in her column in this week’s OK! magazine, she divulged: “This week you nearly didn’t get a column from me after a nightmare hospital dash!”
Talking about the incident she explained: “Rico [her dog] - is playful and likes to stroke your face with his paws. But he accidentally pawed my eye.
“At first it didn’t really hurt, but when I woke up the next morning my eye was stinging and when I looked in the mirror, the left side bright red.”
