EMMERDALE resident Pete Barton has had a dramatic couple of months, after it was exposed Moira Barton was having an affair with Nate Robinson, for which he was wrongly accused of. After having felt the wrath of Cain Dingle, he looks set for a kinder plot line, as was seen tonight rekindling his romance with Tracy Metcalfe. Subsequently, will he leave the village in the new year with Tracy in tow?

Tonight’s double bill saw Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) vow to get the pair to admit their feelings for one another.

Vanessa initially seemed sceptical that the idea would work, as Charity criticised her for telling her she was getting “everything wrong”.

A frustrated Vanessa said: “Oh right well in that case your big idea ‘let’s get Pete and Tracy to go to the pub’ is totally fool proof.

Charity then added: “It’ll work! We just need soft lighting, a little secluded table, I’ll even throw in some free food…”
