Adult Swim, the channel behind Rick and Morty, has not given an official reason why the show isn’t being shown.

However, this weekend is Thanksgiving weekend and, like many popular American shows such as NCIS and Riverdale, this could be why the show has taken a week off.

New episodes of Rick and Morty typically premiere Sundays at 11.30pm but the channel could have decided it would be better to push it back rather than risk losing Adult Swim in-transit viewers.

But there is no need to worry as the show will be returning very soon.
