Excitement levels for the return of Rick and Morty couldn’t have been higher ahead of the season four premiere back on November 10. So much so that when fans discovered episode four wouldn’t be released on Adult Swim this week, not too many were best pleased. However, Rick and Morty will be back on screens soon.

The news episode four, titled Claw and Hoarder: Special Ricktim’s Morty, wouldn’t be released on December 1 received quite a hostile reception when it was announced.

Reacting to the news, one fan said on Twitter: “Hey wtf, we waited like two years for this and we're only getting half the season rn [right now], just release episodes on schedule like was said.”

A second agreed: “Like really....all this time we waited.....and now we get left on pause again....not cool.”

While a third added to the dismay by saying: “We waited long enough for this season. They shouldn't skip s*** lol.”

So when will Rick and Morty return to Adult Swim with episode four?

Season four, episode four will premiere on Adult Swim in the USA on December 8.

The episode will get underway at 11:30pm PT (Pacific Time).
