Avengers star Black Widow’s origins are to be explored in next year’s Marvel movie and the brand new trailer, released today, gives a glimpse at what fans can expect. In the clip, Natasha Romanoff can be seen revisiting her past, coming face-to-face with a woman she refers to as her sister: Yelena Belova (played by Florence Pugh).
But could there be a chance one of Black Widow’s Avengers friends could make an appearance in the film as well?
The trailer features a couple of easter eggs which give a nod to references from the Avengers movies, going back as far as 2012’s The Avengers.
The opening shot of the clip is of Budapest, Hungary, a city long teased to have history for Black Widow and her pal Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).
The latest reference to whatever happened in Budapest came in Avengers: Endgame, moments before Romanoff sacrificed herself so Hawkeye could secure the Soul Stone.

Later in the Black Widow trailer, another shot of Budapest appears, showing the inside of the Keleti train station, even adorned with Hungarian flags, upon close inspection.
Judging by the trailer, it looks as though Marvel fans will finally get to find out what happened in Budapest all those years ago as Romanoff revisits her past.
With the city — and quit possibly its memories — on the agenda in the upcoming spin-off movie, which is thought to sit before Avengers: Infinity War in the timeline, could there be a chance Hawkeye might have a cameo too?
Elsewhere, the trailer also boasts a look at the woman Romanoff calls “sis”: fellow trained assassin Belova.
