Cabin crew are well used to travelling by plane and have likely seen all sorts of things during their time working on flights. Passengers are often keen to settle in and get comfortable when they board a plane. However, before fliers try to get cosy it’s worth taking this piece of advice.

The anonymous cabin crew member shared the advice on US discussion site Reddit.
They said that travellers should never walk around the plane cabin in bare feet.

The flight attendant, who claimed to have worked on long haul for six years, cautioned passengers about loo spills.
“Please do not ever walk into a toilet with bare feet,” they posted on a Reddit thread. “I promise you, nine times out of 10, that is not water on the floor.
They added: “The toilets are often absolutely disgusting and get deep cleaned only at the end of a route.
