The Ninja Warrior host admitted he had to turn down his invitation for the dance competition as it’s a “bridge too far for me”. Speaking in this week’s OK! Magazine, Chris cheekily joked he wouldn’t take part in the series because of the ability of Emmerdale’s Kelvin Fletcher.
“It was disappointing, but I won’t ever do Strictly now. Only because of the ability of Kelvin Fletcher,” he explained.
“He’s better than the professionals. I’d be doing it to have some fun and hopefully not make too much of a fool of myself.”
He continued: “I’ve made the decision that it’s a bridge too far for me and it will be the jungle [I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!] instead.

“My problem is I work on the weekends for Sky during the football season and I don’t want to be in the jungle while football is going on, but I know that won’t last forever.”
His comments after he recently revealed he had failed a fitness test for Strictly.
Chris explained that he couldn’t put his body through 13 weeks of dance training as he had suffered an injury.
Speaking previously to The Sun in April, he said: “I’ve been invited to do Strictly and they told me who I would be dancing with because, apparently, you have to train with them for six weeks before.
“But it’s just not going to happen because my body is knackered.”
