Actor Ian Somerhalder, who is probably best known for his role as Damon Salvatore in The CW’s The Vampire Diaries, is once again starring in a show with undead creatures but this time around, they are not so glamorous. Based on the comics by Jonathan Maberry, V Wars on Netflix shows the horrific aftermath when an ancient disease starts to turn people into vampires. But will we be seeing a second series of the sci-fi horror?
In the show, Dr. Luther Swann (played by Ian Somerhalder who is also the show’s executive producer) identifies a new virus which turns humans into bloodsucking creatures.
As the virus spreads, his friends and family begins to be affected by what’s going on and he does everything he can to try and find a cure and keep his loved ones safe.
The series dropped on Netflix last week, Thursday, December 5, and as all 10 episodes dropped on the streaming service at once, fans are wanting more.
So is a second season going to be heading our way any time soon?
