KATE MIDDLETON was “put in her place” during one of her final royal engagements of the year last week as she helped excited young children pick out a Christmas tree for their classroom.

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, was “ignored” by the children as she asked them what tree would be right for their classroom. During the awkward moment, Kate couldn’t get the attention of the children, according to US commentator Kaitlin Menza. The Duchess later helped children make decorations and eco-friendly reindeer food in the farm’s Elves Enchanted Forest.

Speaking on Royally Obsessed, Ms Menza said: “There was a little moment where she was trying to get kids to notice her tree.

“She was like, ‘is this the right tree for me?’

“And no kids were paying attention to her.

“The kids were not looking at her at all.”

Co-host Lisa Ryan added: “Again, we love when kids put royals anyone in their place.

“Kids just do not care.”

Ms Menza continued: “One kid was chatting to her and she said, ‘you remind me of Prince Louis’.”
