The Australian diver is yet to be found more than 24 hours after he was violently attacked by a Great white shark on Sunday. Gary Johnson was reportedly attacked by the beast while diving near Cull Island off Esperance on the south coast of Western Australia.
Mr Johnson was an experienced diver and president of a local diving club.
Mr Johnson’s wife, Karen Milligan, watched the attack unfold and was taken to hospital to be treated for shock after the tragic event, according to CNN.
The horrific attack took place just hours after a reported shark sighting in the area.
Mrs Milligan said in a statement: "Gary was my rock.

"He was a kind, gentle, strong man. He only ever saw the best in people.
He will be so truly missed by me, by his family and his friends and the world will be a poorer place without this most beautiful man."
Police said in a statement that Mr Johnson was in the same area but on a boat at the time of the attack.
They said: "Preliminary information suggests the victim of the shark attack was in the area on a boat.
