Emilia Fox distracts viewers with drastic new look 'Is that her?' #SilentWitness

Dr Nikki Alexander (played by Emilia Fox) returned to BBC screens with a brand new series of Silent Witness tonight (January 7). The drama kicked off with a deadly plane crash which saw Nikki reach out to American boyfriend Matt Garcia (Michael Landes) who shares a connection with a passenger on board the flight. However, as viewers watched the pair reunite fans were distracted by Emilia’s new look.

In the first instalment of the BBC drama, an ex-US ambassador who Matt knows is involved in a deadly plane crash.

But when Nikki discovered the connection between Matt and the ex-ambassador her relationship was thrown into question.

Nikki was forced to decide whether she will cover for her boyfriend or expose his secrets. 

However, viewers were quick to comment on actress Emilia’s drastic new look as the star’s infamous blonde locks were gone in favour of a brunette look.

One fan praised the actress as they tweeted: “Loving Nikki’s hair #SilentWitness.”

“#SilentWitness Nikki as a brunette…I keep wondering if it’s her till she speaks,” a second shared.

“We all knew this was coming but BRUNETTE NIKKI!!!! 12 years is too long! #SilentWitness,” a third remarked.

“Ooooo look! She suits that colour hair doesn’t she #SilentWitness,” another added.
