The Twitter user shared a post from the presenter’s account, which she shared on New Year’s Eve.

It read: “Good morning, before we get to #2020 a big thanks to everyone who took part in our #wakeuptothemenopause series on @bbcbreakfast, today we are looking at what has changed #bbcbreakfast.”

The person in question commented: “If Louise is off Twitter how did this just appear on my time line @mrdanwalker.”

A fan of Louise stepped in to clarify her social media break.

They replied: “It's not about coming off social media altogether, it's about reducing the availability of it.

“@louiseminchin said she had deleted the apps, thereby meaning it's not constantly there to tap in to, and no notifications on her phone.”

They added: “Personally, I find Twitter Facebook, so I hide or uninstall the FB app so it's not there to mindlessly scroll through, but if I need to use it then it's there via the website.

“The DM's suggestion that Louise had come off social completely is wrong.”
