Iran has escalated tensions between itself and the US with their retaliation against the US with a missile strike. Iran fired more than a dozen ballistic rockets at a US military base in Iraq on Wednesday however no casualties have yet been reported. Sir Malcolm Rifkind explained that this attack may make Iran look “weak” but could give way to a bigger threat.
He told TalkRadio’s Julia Hartley-Brewer that Iran may be “biding its time” before enacted a more “sinister attack.”
He said: “It is almost the lowest possible level of retaliation.
“I am a little bit cautious about assuming this is the end of it.
“I know you have reported that they have tweeted that they don’t expect to have further retaliation.
