Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry are now back in the UK, after taking time off with their son Archie. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were out and about yesterday for their first royal engagements since they left for a break in the US and Canada in November. Meghan and Harry popped in to Canada House in central London, after enjoying their Christmas and New Year break with baby Archie in the country.
The private break from royal life came after the Duke and Duchess released an emotional interview last October, in which they spoke of their struggles with life in the spotlight.
However, before her marriage, Meghan already had some frank words about the difficulties of adjusting to life as royal.
Speaking in October 2017, just shy of a year after the news of her romantic relationship with the prince broke, the future Duchess confided in Vanity Fair writer Sam Kashner.
She said: “It has its challenges, and it comes in waves – some days it can feel more challenging than others.

"And right out of the gate it was surprising the way things changed.
“But I still have this support system all around me, and, of course, my boyfriend's support."
The Duchess’s 2017 words echo the statements she made last year in conversation with ITV’s Tom Bradby.
Meghan told Bradby: “It’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes."
