ELVIS PRESLEY’s former wife Priscilla Priscilla has addressed rumours her father “forced” him to marry her.

During Elvis Presley’s army service in Germany, he met his future wife Priscilla Presley, who was just 14-years-old at the time. When The King returned to America in 1960, he kept in contact with her by phone, with Priscilla eventually visiting him in the summer of 1962. Rumours have abounded before that Priscilla’s father pressured Elvis to marry her, but now she’s set the record straight.

During a at Elvis’ 85th birthday celebrations at Graceland last week, Priscilla affirmed: “I’m going to set the record straight. It was never that my father wanted me to go to Graceland ever.

“I had begged my mother to talk to my dad. 

“It was Elvis’ suggestion that I come and see him in the summer of ’62.

“It was his suggestion that I get my dad…talk to my mother…about me coming.”

“He’s the one who told me he wanted to see me.
