Strictly Come Dancing fans won’t get to find out who is taking part in this year’s series until later this year but Janette Manrara has opened up on the audition process which bosses use to find out who they want on the show. She explained she was so impressed by one star she was hopeful she would be their partner.
Janette revealed she’d spent some time dancing with Kelvin before he replaced Jamie Laing in the line-up.
Jamie was forced to pull out due to injury and Kelvin stepped in to partner up with Oti.
However, Janette was hoping she would get to Samba and Salsa with the former Emmerdale star after auditioning with him last Summer.
The professional revealed she met the actor in June or July last year to see what his dancing skills were like.

Janette has finally gotten her wish as the pair are performing together on the Strictly Come Dancing tour.
Kelvin had to say goodbye to Oti as she focusses on other commitments like The Greatest Dancer.
The star opened up about dancing with Janette instead of Oti saying it was “sad” to see her leave the tour during a chat on Lorraine.
