ABBA new music is likely to release in 2020, according to Benny Andersson.

It’s been over three-decades since ABBA released new music and now the band are planning on releasing two new songs. Benny Andersson hopes fans will be able to hear I Still Have Faith In You and Don’t Shut Me Down later this year. Speaking with Swedish journalists, the 73-year-old said: “They’re coming.

Benny continued: “They’re coming this year. I’m guessing after the summer.

“But I can only guess, because I’m not really sure. But I would think so.”

Asked if he could promise 2020, the ABBA star said: “One shouldn’t promise anything but if I were to decide myself, it would be September.

“I can’t make that decision alone. But that’s what we’re aiming for.”

Last year, Björn Ulvaeus admitted they were trying to emulate The Beatles.

Asked by Magic Radio if the tracks were done, he said: “Yes they are.

“It is when you feel that every note is where it should be and I don’t mean just the chorus.

“Some people give up when they have a great chorus, they think the verse is not that important.”
