Metroid Prime 4 fans may have seen the release date for the huge Nintendo Switch title leak. Metroid Prime 4 has had a long journey, with it being over two and a half years since the Switch exclusive was first announced by Nintendo. The House of Mario announced Metroid Prime 4 a few months after the Nintendo Switch first hit shelves back in 2017.
Samus’s next adventure was revealed back during E3 2017, with all fans getting showed was a short teaser trailer that revealed the game’s logo.
However, the next big update for Metroid Prime 4 came a year and a half later when at the start of 2019 Nintendo revealed development had been restarted.
Nintendo bigwig Shinya Takahashi announced that development was restarted as the project had not met the standard’s required by Ninty.
At the moment it’s unclear when Metroid Prime 4 could get released, with no in-game footage or screenshots revealed of the highly anticipated game.

It remains to be seen if the online store has leaked when the Nintendo Switch exclusive will be out or if this is just an educated estimate.
On the one hand it would be surprising to see Metroid Prime 4 come out this year when we haven’t seen anything on the project.
But development could potentially have been sped up if Retro Studios were able to use some of the assets from the scrapped initial MP4 project.
