Research professor, Dr Azeem Ibrahim, said Ms Sturgeon “must distract from the SNP's failure in every devolved area” because “it has nothing else to stand on”. He said voters were “beginning to realise that the SNP are now the establishment party and have failed to deliver on any of their promises”.
Dr Ibrahim posted on Twitter: “So, after 13 years SNP’s record is, one of positive messaging, and mediocre to dismal implementation. That is why they beat the drums of independence.
“If the SNP does not keep dangling the promise of an Ind Scotland in front of the faithful, it has nothing else to stand on.

“After being in power for 13 years voters are beginning to realize that the SNP are now the establishment party and have failed to deliver on any of their promises. “
The research Professor at US Army War College and director of Center for Global Policy said the SNP had failed in areas devolved to them including education, justice, health, crime, drug deaths and local councils.
In a scathing takedown of Ms Sturgeon’s premiership, Dr Ibrahim also accused the SNP of a “poor management and misuse of power” over how they handle their cash.
