Princess Beatrice, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, will marry property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in the first royal wedding of 2020. The Queen’s granddaughter got engaged to Edo while on holiday to Italy in September 2019. Royal expert Angela Mollard spoke of the Queen’s turbulent year ahead as she believes there will be a lot of questions surrounding Beatrice’s wedding.
Speaking on the ROYALS podcast, Ms Mollard said: “She’s got Beatrice’s wedding which should be a joyous occasion but there will be much speculation around it in terms of who is paying for it.
“I think poor Beatrice is going to have a wedding that’s going to be embroiled in controversy.
“Purely because it will be paid for by the public purse, parts of it will be.
“There will be questions around that depending on how the Prince Andrew situation develops.
