The Good Doctor is in the middle of airing its third series but will be coming to an end next month with just a few more episodes to be shown on ABC. Dr Shaun Murphy (played by Freddie Highmore) has been through a lot this season and following Monday’s episode, he is about to experience even more. But how will he cope with the change in his love life?
At the end of Monday’s (February 17) episode entitled Unsaid, Dr Carly Lever (Jasika Nicole) came to a big decision.
After a double date at a karaoke bar, she finally realised Shaun and friend Lea Dilallo (Paige Spara) were into one another but neither would admit it to themselves let alone each other.
So despite still having feelings for Shaun, she broke things off with him because of his feelings for Lea.
Fans will just have to wait until next week’s episode to find out how he took the news.

She said: “I actually found out a few episodes ahead of getting the script that the breakup was coming, so that was my first confirmation that this relationship wasn’t going to end happily ever after, and it was the strangest experience that I ever had as an actor.
“I have felt so personally connected to Carly’s character, to Shaun’s character – and to this storyline in general – that I actually started to experience the emotional turmoil of going through a breakup.”
