Piers Morgan, 54, was less than impressed to find he had been insulted on Good Morning Britain today after returning to the UK from his holiday just this morning. The presenter fumed on Twitter when he heard that one of the ITV show’s guests, journalist Ayesha Hazarika, had called him an “unhinged troll” on the programme in reference to his comments about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

In view of his 7.1 million followers, Piers wrote: “Back in Blighty for 20 minutes & just heard royal sycophant @ayeshahazarika calling me an unhinged troll on @GMB. Charming.

“I wonder how much Ayesha got paid to host the travel event where she got to fangirl Prince ‘private jet’ Harry as he preached about the environment?”

Twitter users took to the comments section of Piers’ post to share their thoughts.

One person wrote: “Yeah I saw that. Shame that calling out hypocrisy and speaking some sense can now be seen as trolling.”

Another added: “@susannareid100 had your back though, see you Monday.”

However, others sided with Ayesha, with one fan commenting: “Can you give Meghan and Harry a rest? Why do you like bullying them so much? Not nice at all.”
