Fans will be pleased to know the series should be returning for a 13th take and Jodie Whittaker will be back in business.
Series boss Chris Chibnall suggested the seeds would be sown for the 13th season in the final moments of the current series.
New storylines should emerge during the ultimate battle with the Cybermen and Chibnall said more exciting adventures are to come.
Chris told entertainment weekly: “I do know I’m coming back for a third season.
“We are already planning the stories. Once you see the end of this series, you’ll realise there are some stories we’re already setting in train for next series.
“We have very big, ambitious plans for our third series together.”

Whittaker was also quick to announce her return in a 13th series, saying she absolutely adores playing the lead role.
She said in a Radio Times interview: “That might be a massive exclusive that I’m not supposed to say, but it’s unhelpful for me to say [I don’t know] because it would be a massive lie! I absolutely adore it.
“At some point these shoes are going to be handed on, but it’s not yet. I’m clinging on tight.”
Fans would certainly welcome her back to screens as the Doctor as she has been praised for her take on the main character.
