ITV’s drama Liar ended with Andrew Earlham (Ioan Guffard) being discovered as a serial rapist, with a box full of videotapes showing his crimes hidden in his mother’s shed. However, in the very last moment, Andrew’s body was seen in the Essex marshes with a slit across his throat and no murder suspects in sight. Here’s everything you need to know about the cast of Liar season 2.
Andrew wound up dead at the end of season one but he will still play a major part in series two.
The show will feature plenty of flashbacks which show the time between him escaping and his body being found weeks later.
In a statement about Andrew’s role in the upcoming episodes, ITV said: “In equal parts charismatic and depraved, Andrew was a man who committed monstrous acts. But his solipsistic nature proved more dangerous than ever, after he was forced to go on the run.
“As we’ll see in series two, the fugitive Andrew sought vengeance.”
Ioan Guffard is probably best known for playing Reed Richards in the Fantastic Four franchise but was also Lancelot in King Arthur and Tony Blair in W.
As well as these, Guffard was in Titanic where he played Fifth Officer Lower, starring alongside Leonardo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet.
