The Chase saw one of it’s first £0 cash builders in a while tonight, as Bradley Walsh, 59, helped another four contestants take on Chaser and Governess star, Anne Hegerty, 60. However, the result of the Final Chase left ITV viewers astonished as one of the contestants who contributed nothing walked away with a total of £4,000 as the £12,000 was split between the three remaining players.
Dentist Bhagwan was the fourth and last player to take to the stage in the show’s last instalment, hoping to win big.
However, after the clock for the cash builder round reached zero, he realised he had nothing to add to the jackpot and was shocked by his general knowledge.
“Ok, Bhagwan. Zero. None scored there,” Bradley commented, to which the player added: “That was tragic.”
The host tried to reassure the contestant as he explained: “It’s one of those things. It’s happened many, many times,” but viewers weren’t as compelled and sent social media into meltdown.
