British rower, 72, gets two world records despite trouble at sea

Graham Walters, 72, also became the oldest person to row an ocean more than once, after his 3,000-mile journey from Gran Canaria to Antigua. There had been fears he had fallen short of breaking the record, after he was blown off course and had to be towed in by the coastguard. But yesterday the Ocean Rowing Society, which adjudicates for Guinness World Records, declared his recordbreaking bid a success.
