Good Morning Britain host, Piers Morgan, 55, took to Twitter today to express his opinion on footballer Kyle Walker, 29, after he "repeatedly" breached the Government's coronavirus lockdown rules. The ITV favourite branded Kyle's behaviour both "selfish" and "reckless".
It comes after the Manchester City footballer breached the lockdown rules to visit his sister and parents in Sheffield on Wednesday, which followed on from his apology for hosting a party last month.
After his recent family visit, the footballer has hit back with a statement to explain his decisions for breaking the rules.
Soon after the star shared his statement to his 1.5 million Twitter followers, Piers expressed his thoughts on Kyle's heartfelt message.
The presenter wrote to his 7.4 million followers: "Kyle Walker citing 'mental health issues' as an excuse for why he repeatedly breaches lockdown rules is one of the most pathetic things I've ever heard.

"It's other people's physical health that I'm worried about thanks to his selfish, reckless behaviour."
Once Piers had broken his silence on social media, fans also waded in.
One wrote to the GMB star: "Kyle walker acting like he's the only person in the world with mental health issues, joke."
However, many of Piers' followers understood Kyle's point of view, as one wrote: "That’s shocking to say, you have no idea what he’s feeling/others are feeling in this tough time. Have a look at yourself, Piers.
