Freddie Throne (played by Iddo Goldberg) had a short-lived but important role in the Peaky Blinders family history. The communist embarked on a relationship with Ada Shelby (Sophie Rundle) and the pair were forced to flee Birmingham over fears her family would kill him. Fans will remember their subsequent return to the city but one eagle-eyed viewer has spotted a huge plot hole.
Freddie was a former close friend of Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy) but the gang member did not approve of his relationship with sister Ada.
During a police raid, Freddie is forced to leave Birmingham and his girlfriend behind.
Soon after, Ada discovered she was pregnant with Freddie’s child and confided in Polly Gray (Helen McCrory).
She urged her to abort the child but Freddie turned and proposed to the Shelby sister.
