The cast of Outlander are all keen to get back to work on the Starz series as they view each other as family. Showrunner Maril Davis has revealed the cast and crew even act like family as they have their “ups and downs”. The sixth series will follow material from Diana Gabaldon’s book A Breath of Snow and Ashes as the Frasers heal from Claire’s (played by Caitriona Balfe) attack and prepare for the Revolutionary War.
Teasing what is to come, Maril explained: “I just love this book, because, I think, there is so much for everyone in it.
“Jamie and Claire, their love deepens; Roger and Brianna, they have their own journey, and something fun and new happens with them.
“Caitlin O’Ryan, who plays Lizzie, has a great story, and she is such a phenomenal actress. There are just so many exciting things.”
Maria went on to add of the cast and crew: “All of us are excited to get back to work, because we are truly a family.
