Queen of the South will return to USA Network for a fifth season but a release date has not been revealed. The crime drama returned to filming earlier this year but production was halted thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. This could mean fans won't see the new episodes until sometime in 2021.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Queen of the South?
In season three of Queen of the South, Teresa Mendoza (played by Alice Braga) found out there was a mole on her team.
For some time, she believed James could have been the one as he did work alongside CIA agent Devon Finch (Jamie Hector) for six months between series two and three.
Thankfully, it was actually Kelly Anne Van Awken (Molly Burnett) who was revealed as the mole and Teresa could trust James again.
But the fact his loyalty was questioned in the first place upset James and so he left.

James went off to work with the CIA but this time it was to protect Teresa, ensuring her operation was not being investigated.
He was not in the fourth season of Queen of the South so many thought he was gone for good.
This was until the final moments of the series where he frantically drove up to the warehouse with blood on his shirt.
James then warned how someone was after Teresa, leaving the show on a cliffhanger.
