Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway, 53, has been keeping viewers updated on her husband Derek Draper's health since he was admitted to intensive care back in March. The small-screen star's Smooth Radio colleague and friend Myleene Klass, 42, has addressed the presenter's difficult situation.
The mum-of-three admitted she has been "trying to be as good as a friend" that she can be during Kate's traumatic time.
Her comments come after the former Hear'Say bandmate successfully put together a birthday party for Kate's son Billy, who recently celebrated his 11th birthday.
The jungle-themed party even saw the former I'm A Celeb star's campmate Roman Kemp join in the festivities.
Myleene has opened up about her support for the GMB presenter but admitted she doesn't "particularly enjoy party-planning".

However, she chose to step in and help Kate because the ITV favourite had a lot happening in her personal life.
"She said she had a lot on her plate, and on top of it all, she had to organise a birthday party for Billy. I said, 'That is one thing that I can do for you. Leave it with me,'" Myleene explained.
"I told her to give me the day and time, then I'll do the rest. I don't particularly enjoy party-planning, but I've got good at it as I've had to do so many children's parties.
"I'm just trying to be as a good a friend as I possibly can and be there for her."
