Eamonn Holmes aims to 'heal and not divide' as he announces new BBC gig

Eamonn Holmes has long been a staple of British TV, having presented everything from news, daytime chat programs and game shows, and now he's making a splash on the radio. It may only be temporary, but the This Morning host hopes that he will do listeners of The Nolan Show proud as he steps into BBC Radio Ulster presenter Stephen Nolan's shoes for the week.

Taking to Twitter to share the news, Stephen let his followers know they would be in good hands while he takes a break.

"Big announcement, The Nolan Show is honoured that one of the UK’s top newsmen @EamonnHolmes - will be hosting the Nolan Show next week," he wrote.

"I’ve admired Eamonn since I was a boy & we are so excited to have him.

"Get the News, Make the News with Eamonn Holmes on Nolan at 9."

The ITV presenter was more than flattered with the glowing introduction and was over the moon to be given the opporunity, promising listeners he would do his best to listen to what they need.
