Martel Maxwell, best known for presenting the TV show Homes Under The Hammer, took to Twitter and addressed claims that she will be fronting a brand new television programme. It comes after the 43-year-old was congratulated by a pal on her "new hosting role".
In view of 11,000 followers, Martel retweeted a post which claimed she was presenting a new series called Mortgage Mountains.
Accompanied with a snap of the BBC presenter, it was captioned: "NEW SERIES. Martel Maxwell hosts MORTGAGE MOUNTAIN. Four players face a gruelling assault course challenge - the winner gets accepted for a first-time mortgage with a £10k deposit! Starts Monday 14 September at 2:45pm."
While Martel admitted the show wasn't a "bad idea", she denied she was taking part in the programme.
She penned: "A friend just congratulated me on this new show I'm hosting. I mean... it's not a bad idea at all actually. But I've never heard of it!"

It appeared the announcement came from a parody TV Twitter account, which jokes about celebrities taking part in various fictional shows.
Fans reacted to the cheeky post, as one person joked: "I'd keep quiet if I were you. If the paycheques start arriving in the post."
Another person quipped: "They obviously haven't read the legal pack," quoting the famous Homes Under The Hammer advice.
