Portland ‘Antifa’ gunman suspected of shooting supporter ‘killed by ...

THE SUSPECT in the fatal shooting of a Donald supporter in Portland has been killed by police according to reports.

Michael Reinoehl was being investigated over the attack which left Aaron Danielson dead on Saturday. According to the New York Times Mr Reinoehl was killed on Thursday night following an encounter with law enforcement.

Back in June he described himself as “100% ANTIFA all the way!” on social media.

Antifa, short for ‘anti-fascist’, is a loose coalition of activists committed to fighting those they perceive to hold far-right views.

Some of these campaigners believe the use of violence against those they deem extreme-right is legitimate.

Mr Reinoehl was reportedly killed as police moved in to arrest him in Lacey, southwest of Seattle.

Portland police issued an arrest warrant for him on Thursday though it was federal forces which attempt to detain him.

Mr Danielson’s shooting took place after violent clashes erupted between supporters and opponents in the city.

A large convoy of vehicles carrying supporters was making its way through the city when they were confronted by counter-protestors.

Video from the scene showed the two sides fighting with fists, paintball guns and bear mace.
