Season four of Ozark has been confirmed by Netflix with filming expected to be starting in November. The show will be the final one with 14 episodes which will see the Byrde family meet their fate. However, some fans may be wondering whether Wendy Byrde (played by Laura Linney) made a huge mistake by having her own brother Ben Davis (Tom Pelphrey) killed off.
Linney recently reflected on Wendy and what impressed her the most about the character.
She said on the Paleyfest panel: “I think it’s because she’s so wildly emotionally immature.
“She’s not a very evolved person but she’s incredibly instinctive and shrewd. But she’s not evolved.
“I think she sometimes acts out on instincts that are right on and very effective. And other times she acts out in a sort of desperate way and absolutely misses the mark.

“She’s constantly scrambling to keep it all together. So, I love someone who’s not – when she’s thinks, she doesn’t necessarily think deeply.”
Linney added: “She thinks fast, and she thinks from a place of survival, self-support. I want to play someone who is that instinctive.”
However, her words are also applicable her quick decision to have her sibling Ben was a huge error on her part.
While Wendy’s decision was based on survival, she was uncertain about her decision and even called her husband Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) to ask whether she’d made the right choice and if she should have called off the kill order.

From the end of season three, it looked like her decision to have Ben executed was the right call as it meant Omar Navarro (Felix Solis) chose them over Helen Pierce (Janet McTeer).
