Piers Morgan hit out at Matt Hancock after the Health Secretary blamed the failings of the UK's Covid-19 testing system on the public. The Good Morning Britain presenter was appalled by Hancock blaming any problems with testing on members of the public, who were reportedly booking appointments at test centres despite not showing any symptoms.

Susanna Reid began: “Matt Hancock still refuses to do our programme, he has been speaking on Sky News this morning.”
“This is unbelievable,” Morgan commented.
“He talked about the issues with testing, apparently we have a world-beating testing system,” Reid continued.
“Now we have people who are told their local test is a two-hour drive away.”

“I mentioned a person, Steve Hyndside, who drove the two hours with his two sick children ages one and three. Arrived and was told the testing centre had run out of tests,” Reid explained.
“Well, Matt Hancock the Health Secretary has an explanation.”
“It's all our fault, not his,” Morgan remarked before airing a clip of Hancock’s controversial comments from his appearance on Sky News.
Hancock said: “We have seen an increase in demand including an increase in demand for people not eligible for tests. People who don’t have symptoms.
