Mitch Baker 'arrested' in violent Gray clash after Chantelle's death #EastEnders

EastEnders have confirmed Chantelle Atkins (played by Jessica Plummer) will suffer a tragic fate at the hands of abusive husband Gray Atkins (Toby Alexander-Smith). However, after noticing something wasn’t quite right with his daughter, will Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) realise his son-in-law was behind Chantelle’s death and attack him?

In upcoming scenes, Chantelle packs as much as she can for the ‘family holiday’ she’s secretly planned.

She’s horrified when the Taylor family knocks at the door and Gray spots them in holiday attire.

She convinces him to let her go and pretends it was a last-minute trip away from the Square.

Chantelle later visits boss Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) and reveals she won’t be returning to Walford.

Gray’s suspicions intensify and Chantelle’s horrified when she comes home to learn he’s convinced her parents to leave the kids with him. 

While away on the holiday, Chantelle leaves her family and retreats to a cafe. 

Mitch realises something isn’t right with his daughter and follows her but Chantelle convinces him she’s just missing Mia and Mack. 

Desperate to make his daughter happy, Mitch returns to Walford and the hairdresser’s thrilled her plan could still be coming together.
