Coronation Street actress Beverley Callard, 63, who is otherwise known as Liz McDonald in the ITV soap, has given an update after being left unable to walk for six months. The TV star opened up about her "slow recovery" in a new interview alongside her husband, Jon McEwan.
Beverley's hip surgery left her in agony without any soft tissue in her right hip, leaving her bones rubbing together.
After waiting three months for corrective surgery, she finally had her second operation in July.
The Liz McDonald star divulged: "I can stand up - and I stand with most of my weight on my left leg.
"If I stand up and pose for photos, I look normal."

Beverley continued: "But I can't walk without crutches.
"I have Jon on one side and a crutch on the other side. I'm learning and I'm battling."
Jon stated: "A slow recovery is a better recovery."
Beverley then revealed to OK! Magazine that she isn't very "patient" with regaining her mobility.
