Tasha is now facing the death penalty after former FBI attorney Cooper Saxe brought in trumped up charges against her using the “kingpin statute”.
The scene was a shocking one as Tariq was left incensed at Saxe’s double-dealing which could cost his mother her life.
Tasha refused to reveal who really killed Ghost and insisted it was right-hand man Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) in a last bid to save Tariq.
But it wasn’t looking good for Tasha, who has a good chance of going down for the crimes her son committed.

If everything else fails, Tariq may resort to telling the truth about what happened on the night of Ghost’s death.
Speaking in a Power Book II: Ghost Q&A, actor Rainey Jr discussed Tariq’s state of mind at the start of the new series.
He said: “Well, the beginning of Power Book: Ghost is literally not too long after the killing. So, obviously, the weight of his father’s death is on him.
“He’s got to think a lot because his mother’s in jail for it. She didn’t do it. That was never Tariq’s plan, he never really wanted Ma to go to jail for something she never did.
