Chantelle Atkins (played by Jessica Plummer) has been physically and mentally abused by Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) throughout their marriage and has finally plucked up the courage to leave him. However, EastEnders has confirmed the hairdresser will be killed by her husband and Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) could be the one to expose his son-in-law’s true violent colours.
In upcoming scenes, Chantelle heads off on a daily trip with the Taylors but much to her horror Gray has convinced her parents to let Mia and Mack stay with him.
Chantelle brushes off her dad’s concerns over her state of mind and lies she’s just missing her children.
But there'll be some emotional scenes in store for EastEnders viewers when it seems as if Chantelle will admit the truth to Mitch.
Discussing Chantelle’s relationship with her dad, Jessica said: “She has definitely forgiven him for his absence in the early years of Chantelle’s life.
