Jet2 holidays to Portugal have been axed until later in the month. The move from the British tour operator comes after mainland Portugal was axed from the travel corridor list. Anyone returning back from the country to the UK now has to quarantine for 14 days.
Jet2 holidays to Faro have been suspended up to and including September 26.
Jet2 flights to Portugal have not been affected.
The company will contact holidaymakers in the country concerning flights home.
They will also contact jet-setters due to fly in the coming weeks to discuss their options.
Jet2 holidays to Madeira are not impacted as the island remains on the ’safe’ list for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (but not Scotland).

A Jet2 spokeswoman told Express.co.uk: “Due to the latest government travel advice, we have taken the decision to suspend holidays to Faro up to and including September 26.
“Customers in resort can continue to enjoy their holidays and we will be in touch regarding flights back to the UK.
“Where customers are affected by any programme changes, we have been repeatedly recognised for how we have been looking after them, offering the option to rebook with no admin fee, a Refund Credit Note or a full cash refund.
“We will be in touch with affected customers to discuss these options.
“Flight-only customers can still travel to Faro and we will be in touch regarding their flights from the UK.”
The spokeswoman continued:
