Beverley Callard, 63, has vowed to “win the show” after a recent operation on her hip went badly wrong. The star is determined to appear on I'm a Celeb this year, which will take place at a Welsh castle, however the doctors have not yet provided the green light for her to take part.

It remains questionable if Beverley will be fit enough to take part on the show alongside her fellow campmates.

A friend, however, said: “There is still a long way to go before the show starts and Bev is determined to use this time to keep getting better. She is nothing if not a fighter.

“I’m a Celebrity may have switched from New South Wales to cold north Wales but she still hopes to be there.

“It’s been a great target for her as she continues with physio, working hard to get fit for the show in a couple of months is really helping to spur her on.

"She’s so focused, some of her friends are convinced that she will go all the way and win,“ they added to The Mirror.

Things began to go wrong for Beverley back in July when she first had a keyhole surgery on her hip.

The operation left her in large amounts of pain and resulted in the star having a full hip replacement.

It has been reported that she is now planning to take legal action against the original hospital.
