Piers Morgan, 55, declared that the “Boris ship is sinking” following the Government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic. The GMB host’s statement came as a survey was conducted by Opinium Research last week, which asked voters who they would vote for if a referendum was held tomorrow.
It uncovered that 42 percent of the British public said that they would support Labour, while 39 percent said they would vote Conservative.
The poll showed that Labour had climbed by three points on September 11, while the Tories had fallen behind in points.
It was the first time since Teresa May resigned in Summer 2019 that Labour has been ahead in a national poll.
On the release of the poll’s outcome, Piers wrote: “Whoa.... the Boris ship is sinking fast..."

In response, fans weighed in with their thoughts on how the government had performed during this unprecedented time.
One wrote: “Labour cannot win, labour have been embarrassed in parliament, so the extreme lefties have taken to the streets..” (sic)
