Starz series Power Book II: Ghost launched in early September and marked the first spin-off series from the hugely popular gangster drama. The show is just one of three new spin-offs with the others being Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Power Book IV: Force. Book II very much picks up the story not long after the events of the series finale of the parent series.
The new series saw Tasha St Patrick (played by Naturi Naughton) banged up behind bars in prison as she was stripped off all her make-up, jewellery and designer wardrobe.
Tasha was clearly as her lowest ebb as she tried to prove she killed her estranged husband James “Ghost” St Patrick (Omari Hardwick) out of self-defence amid an abusive relationship.
She was trying to cover up for her son Tariq St Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr), who was the real perpetrator and aware he would lose his sizeable inheritance if he didn’t get the grade needed to graduate from college.
While Tariq lived in the hallowed walls of the prestigious and ancient Stansfield College, his mother was languishing in a prison.

But what was it like for actress Naughton to portray this shift and which scene did the star struggle with the most?
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Naughton said: “I mean, honestly, we were shooting in a real prison in Queens, New York.
“And I was in a real cell. And I was laying on a real prison bed. Other real inmates
