The Great British Bake Off 2020 will return to Channel 4 tonight, September 29 and fans are keen to welcome back the judges and new contestants. Thankfully the coronavirus pandemic failed to put a dampener on the much-loved baking competition series, so hopefully there will be no soggy bottoms this year. Express.co.uk has everything you need to know about how many episodes are in season 11 of The Great British Bake Off.
Bake Off 2020 is the eleventh run of the quintessential baking show, and this year it welcomes comedian Matt Lucas, who is replacing Sandi Toksvig.
Noel Fielding returned as host, along with judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. A total of 11 bakers will be welcomed to the Bake Off tent where they will be tasked with whipping up some challenging creations.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, filming for the series was shortened to six weeks, so it was a frantic time for the contestants.
For season 11, the first three episodes will run for 90 minutes, so fans will have even more content to look forward to each week.
Usually the series, which is made up of 75-minute long episodes, airs in August - but the delay comes as a result of the ongoing pandemic.

This year season 11 will be released in the US on Netflix, premiering on September 25, and each episode will be available three days after the UK release date.
The first episode was titled Cake, and the contestants were tasked with creating a number of cake designs.
In the following weeks they will face a signature challenge, as well as a blind technical challenge, before taking one last chance to impress the judges with an eye-catching showstopper.
