Jack Whitehall: Travels With My Father is back on Netflix for a two-episode series and fans have looked forward to seeing the comedian in Australia with his dad, Michael Whitehall. In the series, Jack takes his father across the globe in a bid to 'loosen him up' and encourage him to see the world in a new light. Express.co.uk has everything you need to know about whether the hilarious travel series is scripted.
Travels With My Father is now in its fourth season on Netflix and fans have fallen in love with the banter-filled relationship between Jack and his father Michael.
Many have commented on Michael's quick wit and ability to outsmart his son at every given opportunity.
The connection between the father and son, and their effortless use of banter, seems too good to be true and fans are keen to know whether certain elements of the show are scripted.
Of course, fans of the series will know Jack narrates sections of each episode, in order to add context and explain what is happening during each activity.
The series has been described by many as a 'part scripted sitcom', as all the activities have been planned in advance. There will also be some prior knowledge as to how each scene will end.

However, it is believed that what happens in between is entirely off the cuff, and Michael has often shocked Jack with his behaviour.
In the first episode, Michael chased Jack through a forest with a large snake, whilst on a bush survival course.
He also embarrassed his son by attending a speed-dating session at a winery and began making suggestions on what Jack should be asking each woman.
Viewers took to Reddit to share their thoughts on the creation of the series, with one saying: "Travels With My Father is so obviously scripted.
"Their problems, the things they say, everything. It's all set up. Not even a genuine travel show and it ruins the experience of trying to enjoy the actual places they visit."
