Jamie Redknapp, 47, has revealed that he and his dad Harry Redknapp, 73, are so close that they’ve barely ever had any disagreements. The football pundit shared the surprising admission during an appearance on The One Show this evening while discussing his new book, Me, Family and the Making of a Footballer.
Opening up to hosts Alex Jones and Chris Ramsey about his childhood and relationship with the former Tottenham manager, Jamie said: “We had a lovely time together and I always wanted to be around him.
“Even now we speak all the time and the sacrifices he makes, and all parents, they all make sacrifices to make sure your kids get to training on time and make sure you give them the best advice that you possibly can.”
The dad-of-two then added: “I’d like to say I think we’ve probably had two or three rows in our life, which is pretty amazing.”
However, Jamie went on to make a cheeky joke about Harry’s temperament and quipped that “it’s not easy” to avoid getting on the wrong side of him.

The former Liverpool player continued: “And that’s not easy with my dad, trust me!”
Chris laughed: “I’m sure he’d say the same about you!”
“Maybe it was a good thing you’re good at football,” Alex remarked.
Jamie also told the presenters that his dad used to get into more arguments with his brother when they were growing up.
