The Duchess of Sussex has been rumoured by royal experts to have been eyeing a role in politics after stepping back from the Royal Family in March. But representatives for Meghan and Prince Harry have denied she has plans to run for office. It comes after Meghan has made a series of statement urging women to vote in the upcoming US election.
Representatives for the Sussex royals have denied Meghan has any plans to run for President.
Other sources close to Meghan have also hit back at the rumours, saying she is just passionate about current affairs.
One source close to royals said to Vanity Fair: “While there’s no denying she is interested and engaged in politics as a topic, she harbours no ambition to enter a career in politics herself.”
It comes after speculation from royal insiders that the Duchess was “seriously” considering a career in politics.

A close friend to the royal said to Vanity Fair she retained her US citizenship to keep the door open on a political campaign.
They added: “One of the reasons she was so keen not to give up her American citizenship was so she had the option to go into politics.
“I think if Meghan and Harry ever gave up their titles she would seriously consider running for president.”
Omid Scobie, co-author of the Sussexes’ tell-all Finding Freedom, also said: She has her eyes set on the US presidency. Meghan is the embodiment of the American dream.
“One day we may see Meghan become president.”
