Kim Jong-un sends Donald surprise message after coronavirus diagnosis

NORTH KOREAN dictator, Kim Jong-un, has wished Donald a speedy recovery after the US president tested positive for the coronavirus.

Donald is believed to have been contacted by North Korea’s supreme leader on Friday. It comes after Mr announced that he and his wife, Melania , tested positive for COVID-19 late on Thursday evening.

One of Mr ’s close advisers, Hope Hicks, also tested positive for the virus on Friday before the president’s announcement.

President has been flown to a military hospital after the White House confirmed he was feeling “lethargic”.

North Korean media reported that Mr Kim said: “I have come across unexpected news that you and your commander have been tested positive for the coronavirus."

The message continued: "I [send] consolation to you and your family.

"I sincerely wish you and your commander a complete recovery as soon as possible."

Mr Kim added: "You will surely get over it. Warm greetings to you and the commander."

Mr announced the news of his positive coronavirus test on Twitter.

He wrote late on Thursday evening: "Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19.

“We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!"
